What Charactly is
An interpretive personality app and website – a mirror to think with, for self-reflection and entertainment. It is not a medical, psychological, or diagnostic tool, and it is not clinically validated. The Decoder’s reads are an AI interpretation and can be wrong. Don’t use Charactly to make consequential decisions about yourself or anyone else, and don’t treat it as professional, medical, legal, or relationship advice.
Not affiliated
Myers-Briggs®, MBTI®, and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® are registered trademarks of their respective owners.
Charactly is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to The Myers-Briggs Company, the Myers & Briggs Foundation, NERIS Analytics, or the Keirsey Group. The four-letter codes are unprotected; the archetype names and behavioral interpretations are Charactly’s own.
Price & purchases
The website is free. In the app, Charactly is free to start; some features are part of Charactly Plus, an optional auto-renewing subscription, and you can also make one-time purchases – credit packs, or a one-time unlock such as the full report. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
Subscriptions are billed through your App Store or Google Play account and renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time in your store account settings, and cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you’ve already paid for. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
Acceptable use
Personal, non-commercial use. The Decoder is for your own reflection – don’t use it to harass, surveil, or build profiles of other people, and only submit conversations you are part of or have the right to share. Don’t scrape the service, abuse the email capture, or try to break it.
Who can use it
You must be old enough to hold an App Store or Google Play account in your country and to meet the app’s age rating. Charactly isn’t intended for children, and some features are restricted for under-18s.
No warranty
The service is provided “as is”, without warranties, to the extent the law allows. The Decoder produces interpretations that may be inaccurate. We may change, pause, or withdraw features.
